Rothwell community campaign to save Windmill Youth Club

Save Windmill Youth Club in Rothwell

We’ve already had a fantastic response to our community campaign to save Windmill Youth Club with lots of people commenting on our Rothwell News Facebook page and signing and sharing our online petition. Yesterday the Yorkshire Evening Post ran a story about Leeds City Council’s proposal to close some community centres and it mentioned our campaign. But there’s lots more to do. This is what you can do to help:

  • Sign our online petition
  • Share the link to our online petition on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks to get your friends, family and colleagues to sign it
  • Download the petition (PDF) to print out and get your friends, family and colleagues to sign
  • Add a #savewindmill Twibbon to your Twitter or Facebook profile picture
  • Use your social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc) to share your favourite memories of your and your children or grandchildren’s times there and hashtag it #savewindmill

Also if you know of any famous or even semi-famous people who’ve been involved with Windmill Youth Club then let me know as we’d love to get them involved to support the community campaign.
